For those who may be interested in such things, here are the basses I am currently playing. The first bass pictured is my Tokai Jazz Sound Bass. It has Nordstrand pickups and is the best sounding jazz bass I have every played. The second bass is my custom Nordstrand NX7 bass guitar. This bass has a Redwood top with a Cocobolo fingerboard, pickup covers and knobs. It has Nordstrand's own Fatstack pickups which I can split to a single coil. The preamp is an Aguilar OBP3 with no treble circuit and the addition of a no-load passive tone control. I am currently endorsing Epifani amps and speaker cabinets, as well as Accugroove speaker cabinets. I have, most importantly, found the sound I have always been looking for out of an amp and speakers in Epifani & Accugroove equipment. In addition to the extreme portability, Epifani amplifies my upright bass and electric bass better than any other amps I have tried. I use only a single Epifani UL110 or Accugroove Tri 110L speaker cabinet with the UL502 amplifier for 90% of my performances. For larger venues and festivals I prefer the UL210 or UL310 speaker cabinets with the UL502 amplifier. I use the David Gage Realist pickup on my 1950's Schuster Bass.
